October 4th March & Vigil; a National day of Action

Sisters in Spirit March & Vigil

Sunday, October 4th, 6pm
Cabot Square (Atwater and St. Catherine)

The 4th annual SIS March & Vigil will take place in communities across the country, including Ottawa, Edmonton and Montreal. It is a national day of remembrance, respect, and demands for government action. Marchers will assemble at Cabot Square, and proceed east down St. Catherine Street to Phillips Square (across the street from The Bay) for a candlelight Vigil. Speakers will include president of Quebec Native Women, Ellen Gabriel, Cheryl Diabo of the Mohawk Traditional Council in Kahnawake, and others. There will also be drumming by Odaya and Tiohtiake Singers.

    Erreur: c’est pluôt le dimanche 4 octobre. Et non le 6 comme mentionné dans l’annonce.
